About Kathy Alcon, P.T.
          Kathy Alcon is a registered physical therapist with 25 years of experience. She owns and operates Morning Light Physical Therapy. She received her physical therapy degree from the University of Central Arkansas. Kathy has worked in a variety of settings including hospital, home health, nursing home and outpatient care. She currently works in the area of women's health. She has taken well over 100 hours in continuing education classes in this area. Kathy has created protocols for treating common medical problems which affect women: diagnoses such as fibromyalgia, osteoporosis, pelvic pain, and urinary incontinence; post-mastectomy/ breast reconstruction, the female athlete, obstectric musculo-skeletal problems and diabetes are among her specialties. She is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the Women's Health Section of the APTA. She holds licensure in Illinois, Arkansas and New Mexico #2858.

          Kathy divides her time between patient care and lecturing in the area of health and wellness. She believes that the key to prevention is education. She says, "If I teach a patient rather than treat them, they receive long-term, life long health benefits."
          Kathy offers a holistic approach to physical therapy. Her programs include traditional modalities with extras such as guided imagery, stress management/relaxation and Native American healing. She participates in community efforts supporting non-violence, women and children. In her free time she enjoys gardening, walking and reading.



Yvonne Marsh, Offc Mngr.


About Yvonne Marsh, Office Management
          Yvonne Marsh is the Office Manager for Morning Light Physical Therapy for Women. She comes to us after a long and varied career in the banking industry. She has one daughter, who is a senior majoring in Journalism at NMSU, Las Cruces. Yvonne enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and kitty Bella, and enjoys singing, reading, and creative writing.
                   



About Michele Lee, Administrative Assistant
          Michele Lee is the Administrative Assistant for Morning Light Physical Therapy for Women. Michele has a degree in Business Management from Northern New Mexico Community College. She is a life long resident of Taos and takes pride in knowing her community well. She enjoys working with people and considers this her strongest asset. She enjoys spending her spare time with her two dogs Lucy and Ethel, going up in the mountains to walk and fish, taking long drives, and visiting with family and friends. She looks forward to working with you and helping to make your experience at MLPT an enjoyable one.

Marlene Eisenring, PTA


About Marlene Eisenring, PTA
          Marlene is a PTA licensed in the State of New Mexico. She was born and raised in Leavenworth, Kansas and graduated from Washburn U. in Topeka. Marlene relocated to Taos in September of 2005 from Leadville, CO. She has 3 grown children and 3 grandchildren living in Colorado. Hobbies include reading, hiking and camping.
                   



About Yanet Pereyra, Personal Assistant
          Yanet is Kathy Alcon's assistant in patient care at Morning Light Physical Therapy for Women. Before joining our staff she was a Fitness Tech at Curves. Yanet plans to pursue a career as a PTA. She has one daughter Valerie, who is 19 months old. In her spare time Yanet enjoys hanging out with her friends, daughter and boyfriend.
